Notore’s granular urea is of premium quality with a formaldehyde coating that dissolves slowly, making it suitable for tropical climates. Notore urea is produced from ammonia and carbon dioxide reactions under high pressure and temperatures between 1320C and 1820C (2700F and 3600F). Urea is the most popular form of fertiliser globally because of its vast use for cereal crops.
We provide specialised bulk blended NPK fertilisers. NPK fertiliser is a composition of Nitrogen (N), Phosphate (P) and Potassium (K). Notore has granular and bulk blended NPK of various blends available for local and regional markets. On special request, Notore’s NPK fertilisers can be customised with micro-nutrients.
Ammonia is a major reactant during the urea production process. It is produced through a combination of nitrogen derived from the atmosphere and hydrogen extracted from Natural Gas CH4 at a very high temperature. Notore has the capacity to generate 1,000MT of ammonia daily.
Notore NPK Roots and Tubers is a special blend for root and tuber crops such as cassava, yam, and potatoes. The blend contains the necessary macro (Nitrogen – N and Potassium – K) and micronutrient (Magnesium – Mg) combinations required at critical growth stages to promote tuber initiation and enhance bulking for optimal yields.
Specifically, the blend contains a significant amount of Nitrogen that fuels growth and increases yields. It is necessary during leaf formation, tuber growth, and yield stages while ensuring optimal leaf carbohydrate production.
Notore NPK Roots and Tubers also contains Potassium, which is critical for high yields in root and tuber crops and is needed in large amounts throughout the growing season. Potassium influences nutrient transport and the movement of carbohydrates from leaves to tubers.
The blend also has Magnesium, a micronutrient that plays a central role in photosynthesis, at the center of each chlorophyll molecule. Magnesium involves various sugar and protein production steps, including transporting carbohydrates from the leaves to the tubers.
For best results, we recommend applying Notore NPK Roots and Tubers when the soil is moist, typically 1 or 2 days after rainfall. For example, apply at a rate of 200 kg/ha on cassava in a furrow 10-20 cm away from the cassava plant and 5 cm deep in a ring or half-moon shape, then cover with soil. This should be done in equal split doses during the fourth and eighth weeks after planting.
