Notore, in partnership with Agricultural Development Projects across the nation launched the Notore Catalyst Course in Yola on May 27th 2009 as part of its continued effort to reduce hunger and transform farming practices in Nigeria. Notore has designed this course as a tool to train extension workers who will then educate farmers and drive adoption of agricultural best practices throughout the country.
Notore’s comprehensive package of practices include the availability of high quality agricultural inputs that enable better yields, the knowledge to utilize these inputs appropriately and the guaranteed off take of certain food items from the farmers. Efforts in Yola are directed towards the knowledge aspect of this package.
The main goal of the course is to equip the extension workers with all the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure they are able to educate farmers across the nation.
They will be teaching best farming practices that will result in improved yields therefore unlocking the door to the incredible wealth potential of agriculture in Africa. This course ensures that Notore is able to educate and send out the best trained individuals to help in the development of the farmers across the nation.
